Trish Becker-Hafnor

Speaker |Facilitator | Community Builder

Designing experiences that facilitate connection, meaning and flourishing.

We know that there are two simple ingredients to building meaningful connection:

Shared Space and Shared Time.
From these foundational elements, our shared values can emerge, and we can establish a shared purpose (and a plan to get there).

Trish brings the ideas of belonging, community, and connection to life through engaging keynotes, talks, and conversations. She speaks on intentional community, loneliness and social connection, mutual aid, neighborhood resilience, and what it takes to rebuild community in an increasingly disconnected world.

Beyond the stage, Trish works with organizations, communities, and teams through facilitation, community engagement and community-building strategy, and one-on-one coaching. Whether guiding a retreat, designing a meaningful engagement process, or helping a leader think through how to bring people together, her work is grounded in a simple question: how can we create the conditions for people to connect, contribute, and belong?

About Trish.

Trish Becker is Executive Director of the National Cohousing Alliance, where she leads national efforts to grow cohousing and strengthen the broader ecosystem of community-rooted housing. Her work sits at the intersection of housing and social connection, exploring how intentional community, neighborhood connection, and mutual aid can help address loneliness and social isolation.

A TEDx speaker, Trish speaks regularly on stage and in the media about community-rooted living and the case for rebuilding connection in American neighborhoods. She also facilitates retreats and strategy sessions, helping groups build community and find shared purpose in their work.
